Question 1

How quickly can you get to my roof?

Accepted Answer

Emergencies: typically within 60 minutes across our coverage area, 24/7. Standard surveys: usually within 48 hours, and always free.

Question 2

Are quotes really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — completely free and no obligation. You get a fixed written quote detailing labour, materials, scaffolding and waste. The price in writing is the price you pay.

Question 3

What guarantee do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Every job carries a written workmanship guarantee — 10 years on new roofs, and we offer an insurance-backed guarantee (IBG) so you're covered even if we ever stopped trading.

Question 4

Are you fully insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes — £10 million public liability and full employer's liability. Certificates available on request before we start.

Question 5

Do you sub-contract?

Accepted Answer

Never. Every person on your roof is directly employed by us, trained by us and insured by us. The only exception is asbestos removal, handled by HSE-licensed partners.

Question 6

Do you offer finance?

Accepted Answer

Yes — 0% options on qualifying work and longer terms available through our finance partner, subject to status. Full details on our finance page.

Question 7

Will you tell me if it only needs a repair?

Accepted Answer

Always. If a £300 repair buys your roof another decade, that's what we'll quote for. We don't sell new roofs to people who don't need them — our reputation depends on it.

Question 8

How much does a new roof cost?

Accepted Answer

A typical semi-detached re-roof runs £8,000–£14,000 depending on size, access and material. Our instant estimate tool gives a realistic range in two minutes; a free survey gives you the exact figure.

Question 9

How long does a re-roof take?

Accepted Answer

Most houses take 5–8 working days, weather permitting. You get a day-by-day schedule before we start and photo updates as we go.

Question 10

Will it disrupt my home?

Accepted Answer

You can stay home throughout. Scaffold goes up first, everything is sheeted, and we leave the site clean every evening. Most customers say the noise is less than they feared.

Question 11

Which materials are best for my roof?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your house and budget — Welsh slate for premium and period, good concrete tile for value, EPDM for flat roofs. We'll show you real samples and honest prices for each.

Question 12

Do I need planning permission or Building Regs?

Accepted Answer

Like-for-like re-roofing usually needs neither, but work in conservation areas, on listed buildings, or altering roof shape can need consent. Re-roofing over 50% of the roof triggers Building Regs insulation requirements — which we handle.

Question 13

Which areas do you cover?

Accepted Answer

All of west Surrey and surrounding towns — Guildford, Woking, Farnham, Godalming, Camberley, Aldershot, Farnborough, Dorking, Reigate, Epsom and more. Check your postcode on our areas page.

Question 14

What payment options do you take?

Accepted Answer

Bank transfer, card and staged payments agreed in writing. We never ask for full payment upfront — typically a small materials deposit, stage payments, and the balance only when you're happy.

Question 15

Do you do commercial work?

Accepted Answer

Yes — industrial units, schools, retail and managed property, with full RAMS and planned maintenance contracts. See our commercial page.

Question 16

What happens to the waste?

Accepted Answer

All old material is removed in our skips and recycled where possible. Waste transfer notes available — part of doing the job properly.
