Victorian Terrace Re-Roof, Guildford
Full strip and re-slate of an 1890s terrace with failed original slate and rotten battens.

BeforeAfter
The job
The original 130-year-old Welsh slate had finally given up. We stripped to rafters, replaced four damaged rafter feet, fitted breathable membrane and treated battens, then re-slated in new Penrhyn Welsh slate with a dry ridge system. Chimney repointed and reflashed in Code 5 lead while scaffold was up.

“They treated our little terrace like it was a stately home. Photos every day, spotless site, and the roof looks incredible.”
